CLUB RULES
All rules of the
Narragansett Bow Hunters shall be in accordance with the
guidelines established in the Constitution and By-laws
of the club. Common sense and sound judgment shall cover
all rules not listed.
1. No litter is to be left
on the club grounds. If you take it in, bring it out.
Receptacles are provided for this purpose and are
located in various places around the courses.
2. All members are
requested to report any unsafe condition, i.e. broken
targets, lane obstructions, etc. by posting a note on
the bulletin board located behind the kitchen door.
3. No alcoholic beverages
allowed while shooting at any time.
4. All new members will be
assigned to a club committee, based upon need, at the
time of their membership acceptance.
5. Foul language and
unacceptable behavior will not be permitted.
6. The use of broad heads
is prohibited on club property by anyone, except into
appropriate targets, which are specifically provided and
designated for that purpose. Any violation shall result
in immediate recommendation for revocation of
membership.
7. Ensure lanes are clear
before shooting. All bows with arrows knocked should be
pointed down range at all times. Leave your bow leaning
on the front of the target if you are searching for a
lost arrow behind the target to let everyone know you
are still at the target.
8. Members may use the
kitchen facilities at their leisure, however, all pots,
pans, appliances, etc. must be cleaned and returned to
their storage location prior to leaving the club.
9. Any member may request
to run an archery league using the club facilities by
following the guidelines outlined in ARTICLE 10 of the
by-laws. All leagues must promote the sport of archery
and benefit the club and it's members. No league shall
be conducted for self-profit.
10. Guests are allowed to
attend and shoot on two (2) separate occasions. This
does not include any league, public or private club
sanctioned shoots held on club grounds. After these two
visits, the guests will be requested to join the club.
11. Any requests for
reimbursement of expenditures on club related purchases,
must be accompanied by a proper receipt(s) and presented
at a regular monthly membership meeting, during the
"bills and accounts" portion of that meeting and must be
presented within ninety (90) days of the original
purchase.
12. An adult must
accompany all children, under the age of eighteen (18).
13. A member in good
standing, is a member who has completed their one year
probation.
14. During "indoor league
shoots", the kitchen area of the club is the only
designated smoking area.
15. When the "indoor
shooting room" is used as a "dinning/meeting area"
(tables & chairs set-up) the room will be designated as
smoking and the other will be non-smoking.
16. Members are
discouraged from bringing pets onto Narragansett Bow
Hunters’ club property. Members choosing to bring a pet
onto the property are responsible for the pet at all
times and may be held liable for any damage or injury
caused by the pet. While on the property, pets should
be under the control of a positive restraint such as
provided by a leash. Pets are prohibited inside the
Clubhouse at all times. Non members are prohibited from
bringing a pet on the property.
